I'd like to start a game and give it a try, although I usually defeat enemies by overwhelming them with numbers, and also with magic. I usually use chain lightning and haste, because I don't want to go too far. In the most urgent cases, I use resurrection (if available), but it doesn't help much, and the character dies even faster again.
