Game of the 6th round (from June 23 to June 29)
"Colorado Beetles" - "Order of the Phoenix"
rebellious (Dungeon, Shakti) def Javdet (Fortress, Bron, Crag Hack), 2SM4d(3), 221
By day 11, the secondary Conflux, Swamp, and Inferno castles were taken. Shakti quickly improved his skills (Logistics was the third), having a Manticores with a growth of 9 per week, and 10 Angels by the beginning of the fourth week. In the Utopia on the Swamp castle, he found the Titan's Helm and the Sword of Justice; in the Treasury on the Dirt castle, he took the Book of Earth from the Dendroids. By the end of the month, he took the abandoned capital of the Red player. The Red player somehow dug up Crag with Expert Fire and Firebirds. An attempt to retake the capital from Crag failed, and Shakti was a little worried, charmed by a Berserk. Artillery helped a lot. There was a lot of mana and 29 Scorpikors. Half of them remained, but the opponent retreated. Then Shakti took the last city of the Red player and rushed after Crag, who again fled and, with a garrison of 9 Angels, defended his city. Shakti, expecting the Red player to visit him on the new week, settled in his castle with 6 Efreet Sultans, 21 Scorpikors, and other minor units. It was here that Crag found his last resting place.
Thank you for the game.
I confirm.
The road to the only secondary castle was blocked by Black Knights, and I took it too late. I was going to rush, but seeing the Dungeon player with up to 50 Manticores and up to 20 Angels, I changed my mind. There were 2 Utopias, one 2 days away from the city, the other in the Treasury. I rushed to the first one, and the reward was "substantial" - Levitation and only 20,000 gold :smile18:. This decided the outcome of the game, as I spent 5-6 days on it. I returned to the Treasury, and in the second Utopia, there was the Book of Fire, Boots, Wings, in short, nothing for stats again. I took the Cuirass and discovered the Dungeon player in my castle. I didn't have time to reach the city, so I had to buy everything and retreat. The opponent upset me with Resurrection and Teleportation. "Book of Earth," thought Shtirlitz. There was no point in stalling, so I gathered everything I had and went to take the castle. I didn't raise the Tactics skill to Expert on purpose, so that Andrei would place everyone under Berserk :). I was very afraid of one thing - the Dungeon player's artillery. It was there, and even more annoyingly, it was in the 7th slot :smile32:. After the first turn of suicides, he accelerates with shots from the tower, and my only serious trump card is covered with a copper basin. The Dungeon player had 300 mana, and I had 110 at the start. Then, all that remained was to kill as much meat as possible and fly to collect Angels. But I made several primitive mistakes (we played until almost 4 am :smile04:) - I didn't have time to put on the Gloves, or I forgot the Cuirass, and I was defeated.
Thank you for the game.
