I only acknowledge Winds Of War. No matter how many times I've played it, I've never lost dragons to neutral creatures. I only spared them in the final battle...
I'm not saying you need to max out Tactics; you can just take the Core skill, and that will be enough... You can also equip the Shield of Order, and all your units will resist Chaos like Titans... And in general, I think the AI in the Fourth game is the dumbest and most flawed in the entire history of Heroes.) It's only interesting to play against experienced players.
Okay, let there be Whirlwinds. What is the Core skill enough for? To get to the enemy? But what's the point? Only tanks are in the front rows, all the mages and archers are in the back, and they can't be reached anyway.
2) The Shield of Order is good, but it's not available everywhere. If we're considering a regular map, it's not always possible to find such a shield, I would even say it's rare, so it's not an option.
3) The computer in the Fourth game is really useless; I completely agree with that. :)
4) About neutral creatures. Maybe I haven't lost any, I won't argue about that, but at the Master and Champion levels, when there are quite a few neutral creatures, you need to be vigilant. With Titans, it's easier; just take your time and shoot. The hero's mana might not even be used

Барон "Vampires"
Отдай свои прошлые сны,
В сомненьях себя обрети,
В бешеном танце душа кружится!
Не думай, что будет потом,
Здесь и сейчас мы живем,
Стань хоть на миг сам собой, слышишь!
