Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, the book never made it into my hands. However, the film did, and I was, to put it mildly, not impressed. To be blunt, I didn't even finish watching it. My jaw ached from yawning, I desperately fought off sleep, and then I gave up and went to do my own thing. Someone said, "They're adapting it to be like The Lord of the Rings" - ha! This film wasn't even close to being as good as The Lord of the Rings, which I don't even consider a masterpiece myself. Volkodav is frankly a boring piece of work.
