"The Will of Ashan" - "Heart of Darkness" [2nd campaign, 5th mission]

Hey guys, can you tell me, does Ornella die for good when she steps onto the altar, or is it possible for her to return in later campaigns? Because it would be a shame, I leveled her up really well...:(

I don't know if she dies completely, but I didn't encounter her again in "Tribes of the East." Although, I remember that when Arantir crosses a garrison, a message appears. Something like Arantir is tired and doesn't think about whether Ornella will get out on her own or not. So she might still be alive.
P.S. And if Arantir is not well-leveled, you can put on the Mask of Justice (I found it somewhere).
