By the way, there's a patch for the fifth game that allows you to hire Sandro. And I'm not entirely sure, but at least Markel looks very much like Phineas from the third game, who was Sandro's student in the third game, but he made him king and so on.

After Nicholas the vampire was killed by Faidan, our elf friend went to push back the undead on the borders with the Empire. Well, there he met Zehir and Godric, and together they easily defeated Markel. =)
