Which creatures from the alternative upgrade options do you choose?

In my opinion, skeletons are better than archers in the new game; they have magic resistance, but at the beginning, they can be easily defeated.

However, here it's the opposite; swordsmen are much more durable than archers. You can even use them to easily defeat archers by simply resurrecting the fallen ones at the end of the battle. And they also deal damage.
