I think that publicly pressuring someone by appealing to their sense of pity is simply not right. One person won, and then you start saying, "If you were a real man, you would act like one." Personally, I would probably have done the same. Vitalic started nitpicking the rules after he lost, pointing out to Dudge that he supposedly passed by a shifted guard (although in reality, the terrain was shifted). Did Dudge win the game in an "unmanly" way? Fine, Dudge's victory was acknowledged, and then they started saying that the game ended prematurely (although this was initiated by the organizer). They simply annulled it. They played another game. In the second game, Dudge played "according to the rules," which is what Vitalic had been striving for in the first game. As a result, Dudge won for the second time. But that wasn't enough:

But we all want the outcome of the tournaments to be determined not by flaws in the rules, but by real battles of heroes, and Dudge agreed to consider the current situation and announce what he decides: a de facto, formal technical victory or a Real Battle of Heroes.

Hooray! This isn't the end of the tournament; we demand that it continue, the people demand bread and circuses. Let's have a third, decisive game. And maybe a fourth or fifth game will follow soon...
In my opinion, the outcome of the tournament resembles a circus! It's like: "Dudge, you're a two-time winner, but let's have one more, a decisive one, as an encore, so there are no questions about your level of play. Come on, be a man, prove it to all of us...". That's exactly what they're trying to say, only with clever words and hints. With approximately the same level of play for both players, three wins out of three is unlikely, so naturally, Dudge will probably lose in the next game (especially in such a tense atmosphere).
