Why must it be units? I would suggest making it a free-form drawing on a hero-themed topic. Maybe someone can't draw creatures, but they could draw a beautiful landscape of Sylvana for us. And I would also increase the deadline. Two weeks for a masterpiece is incredibly short. :) I think at least a month should be dedicated to the actual drawing, so that participants have enough time and can draw without rushing.
Attracting the maximum number of people is indeed a problem. But I think that to make more people interested, you need to create several nominations, in addition to "best drawing." Something like "most original drawing," "most colorful drawing," etc. I'm not an expert, but you can come up with many nominations. And at the same time, make it so that one drawing cannot win more than one nomination; then it will be more interesting even for those who don't draw very well. Also, I would advise you to make the first post more interesting, create something like a tournament regulation. Perhaps this will help attract more forum users. And if you want to develop the idea further, you could even talk to the administration about whether it would be possible to have a prize for the contest – a badge in the profile? I think that would be a great incentive!
Thank you for your attention. If I have any more ideas, I will definitely share them.
O God of Earth and Altar, Bow down and hear our cry, Our earthly rulers falter, Our people drift and die, The walls of gold entomb us, The swords of scorn divide, Take not thy thunder from us, Take away our pride.
