There’s a problem with saving!

I started playing Heroes again, going through all the heroes:
Heroes - the main game;
the expansion for dwarves and
the expansion for orcs:)
I completed the 4th campaign - the 4th mission; the computer made a "save".
I had to reinstall Windows (there was a reason), I moved the "save" to another drive, installed the game, the same patch 1.4; I started
the 1st campaign, the 1st mission, saved, and in the newly created
folder (in Documents and Settings) I put my save,
but the game doesn't see it??? :(
Do I really have to go through all 4 campaigns again, starting with "The Queen"
and so on? Does anyone have any ideas? Help!
