* South Park has been nominated for an Emmy Award six times (in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005, and 2006). The show won the award for the 2005 episode "Best Friends Forever."
* South Park was nominated for an Annie Award in 1998. In the same year, it was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award for the episode "Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride." In 1999, Isaac Hayes received an Image Award for his participation in the series. On April 5, 2006, the series received a Peabody Award.
* South Park was nominated for a Teen Choice Award in 2006 as "Best Animated Show," but lost to Family Guy.
* "South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut" was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song ("Blame Canada"). Phil Collins won the award, and Parker and Stone mentioned him in the episodes "Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000" and "Timmy 2000." They were prepared to lose, but not to Collins. The song was performed by Robin Williams at the awards ceremony, and it was the first ceremony with a TV-14 rating, in part due to the performance of this song.
* South Park is the only ongoing series to have received a CableACE Award. The show won in the category of "Best Animated Series" in 1997, which was the last year the award was presented.
