If you're playing the mission with a hero, and Godrick is well-leveled, it will be difficult for you. I managed to defeat a well-leveled Godrick with a hero only in the first or second week. Later, he gets an incredibly strong second army. He also uses antimagic to remove all spells from his units. But this is only when playing with a hero. On other levels, you can defeat him at any time.
