Which level 5 monster is the best?

Gorgons! A gorgon's gaze is deadly to level 7 units. Minotaurs are almost always eliminated; dendrites are very slow; liches and monks don't have sufficient growth for ranged units; a master djinn has weak defense; birds are very good.

1. I don't understand what you mean by "Minotaurs are almost always eliminated." I doubt you go into battle and one of your first goals is to attack minotaurs... 2. Liches and monks have a normal growth rate of level 5; the fact that they are ranged units is irrelevant. Personally, I don't think it would be right to make the growth rate of fanatics/liches 10.
