Although I love the undead, I have to agree. On small maps, the undead aren't the best option. I also don't like what they did with dark energy. It would have been better if they had left it as it was. The army would have been stronger.
Yeah, sure... On small maps, the undead are incredibly powerful... On a small map, you can reach the opponent early. And while they only have 2-3 weeks of troop growth, the Necromancer has the same 2-3 weeks of growth + units raised with 200+350+350 = 900 points of Dark Energy, not counting the hero himself. And that's not a small amount - about 400 regular skeletons in addition. And on top of that - the Necromancer has a high Magic stat.
