Listen, Alex (do you mind if I call you that?), all this is certainly interesting regarding the limitations of the Jedi and the versatility of the Sith, but you still haven't answered about mercy and compassion. I'm not very interested in the fact of why they don't exist; for me, the fact of their absence is important, and this cannot be justified by anything. You say that the Jedi do what they are ordered to do, okay, but let's assume a teacher asked his student to do something, and if he only tries to fail, he will die; they constantly kill each other. You said that this is not exactly a custom, but considering their ideology (the Sith in the tomb from Kotor 1), which considers "everything for me!" as the primary principle, I don't see the point in having students, given the deadly risk involved.
