Darkness or Light? Philosophy in Knights of the Old Republic.

The Jedi do not condemn love as such; they forbid it because:

A loved one gives us strength.
The fear of losing a loved one is fear.
Fear leads to the dark side.

This judgment is as narrow as the Jedi Code... Fear, emotions... it's all part of life... if a person (or other Jedi) doesn't experience these things, then who are they - just simple machines created to follow orders...?

For example, let's compare Bastila and Obi-Wan (I chose them because they are Jedi).
Listening to Bastila, you can see this closed-off nature. And Obi-Wan, while remaining an exemplary Jedi, is quite an open person.

I compared them. I wouldn't call Bastila a nun in any way... My close friend even called her a hussy:D Besides, she didn't kill Revan during the attack on his ship, during which the explosion occurred, causing Revan to lose his memory... she didn't know that Revan had lost his memory, but she still didn't kill him or leave him to die; she saved him... Obi-Wan, on the other hand, is more dependent on the Council's decisions... and, like Anakin, if he had to make a choice in Knights of the Old Republic, he would most likely not have saved Revan, but would have left him to die on the ship...
