At first, I was a counselor, but I didn't like it; he was too weak, just like old Joe.
And Malak was a weakling; I could have taken him on a Sith ship, but then Bastila showed up and distracted me...

No, it was different for me. On the Leviathan, I could have taken Malak down in one or two rounds, but on the Star Forge, oh my god, he's incredibly powerful. IMHO, I was so pumped up on stimulants that a normal person would have died from an overdose, and then I reduced the advantage to an EQUAL fight!
Maybe your version is glitched? :D :D
