I see that people are confused about how to arrange the squares at the beginning of the second mission in the "In the Wake of Gods" campaign, also known as "New Beginnings," and are offering advice to solve the puzzle by trial and error. Indeed, the monks' messages only add to the confusion. After getting lost and finding my way back, I'm sharing the solution. Attached is a clearly presented description of the puzzle's conditions, which, in my opinion, already provides a good hint. It can be solved without resorting to random guessing, I assure you. If anyone wants a more detailed explanation, feel free to ask, but I think it's much more interesting to solve it independently. Hint number two: use a piece of paper, draw on it, and see how the chosen column changes with each action; this helps. By the way, you can spend your commute time productively searching for the solution ;)
