Some kind of mystique :) The surest way is to check the mods folder. If you find nothing there, then I think you can safely reinstall the game. You won't lose anything but time; the main thing is not to forget to copy the saves folder beforehand ;)
I don't mind spending the time, but it would be interesting to know where such wonders could come from :)))))
