Only for a Necromancer, besides the Campaign, it is desirable to get the Mana Affinity skill as quickly as possible. In the Campaigns in version 3.0, I decided to do without it. As a result, in the 2nd mission, after reaching the development limit, my Railag had 50 mana left. And in the 3rd mission in version 1.5, in some battles, Railag spent 150-200 mana. I started the Campaign again from the first mission, with the Mana Affinity skill.
I agree that Mana Affinity is a great skill for mages. But it will be difficult for a mage with 1-2 level spells if, within 1-2 levels before getting the Mana Affinity skill, a well-developed hero of the same level attacks him under human control.
Yeah, but not Mana Affinity, but Spell Power. Then there will definitely be enough mana!
In general, I give priority to Spell Power. It's great when your Explosion (Earth Shock) deals 1500 damage! :)
And regarding mages - it's a GREAT skill!! But it's true that on some maps it's impossible to reach level 23. And if you conduct parallel research into Chaos, etc., it is impossible to achieve Omniscience; my hero reached a maximum of level 26.

I voted for Elemental Fury... The damage is great (70%), the abilities to upgrade are useful (I just love Chaos - you can cut me for it!!!)... it's strategically fun... nothing is canceled (like with Dwarves and Rangers) - although this is rare, but it happens... In general, all the abilities are good IMHO... Omniscience is cool in theory, but it really takes too long to wait...
I voted for True Sight, now I regret it:(. At first glance, constantly dealing successful damage seems great. But in reality, it doesn't pay off!:(
Does anyone know how to change the voice?
