Current analysis of offline tournaments.

- No HOMM4 Tournaments were held. IMHO, this is even worse.

Since I am the official organizer of HOMM4 Tournaments, this is, of course, my fault :( I apologize... But still, my focus is now more on the World Championship for Heroes 4. Because of this, I have, in a way, put offline tournaments on hold. But I am already correcting this :) A new offline tournament has already started, and the 4th World Cup is not far off. I will try to ensure that such situations do not happen again! Furthermore, I would like to add my thoughts... Firstly: isn't it a bit early to draw such conclusions? Not much time has passed since the beginning of 2008; it's only April! Perhaps the situation will improve in the remaining months! And secondly... Of course, there is some truth in this statistic! And I agree with Fireball... Because he is largely right. We still have a hero-based resource, but even though we have over 10,000 users (if I'm not mistaken), only a few participate in tournaments. And even fewer reach the finals. Of course, many come here solely for information, not to participate in tournaments. But it would still be good if the majority of players did not ignore the tournaments! Because everyone is happy to chat, but participating in tournaments... it's somehow unpopular. That's sad. But that's another topic. Of course, many are afraid to participate because they play poorly. But, my friends... you won't learn to play if you don't play; don't be afraid! You can only gain the desired experience by playing. Especially by playing against a strong opponent, from whom you can learn a lot! We need to make it so that we attract as many players as possible to the tournaments! Organizers need to be more active, try to organize tournaments at the highest possible level, and make the tournaments interesting and diverse! Again, regarding attracting players... The News on the main page is not updated often. This is one of the problems with the unpopularity of tournaments on Heroesworld. Newcomers, when they come to the portal to play, simply don't know where to find information about tournaments. It's not that easy to figure things out on an unfamiliar forum... Of course, you may not agree with me. But I repeat: an announcement on the Main page about the official tournaments currently being held would increase their popularity! Although, of course, this does not explain the inactivity of players who have long been residents of Heroesworld and can find any tournament they are interested in without an announcement on the Main page! Let's make the tournaments more high-quality, more interesting, and diverse in content and goals! And I think we should continue the tradition of inter-portal tournaments :) Also, in my opinion, the problem of such low activity is simply a lack of time! Tournaments still take a lot of time, and no one has canceled the time crunch! Some people have work, some have studies. Now is the time for preparing for graduation and entrance exams. Some have a thesis and exams, some have a Ph.D. Some have a newborn child - they simply don't have time for games. These circumstances also need to be taken into account! So, it's not all that simple. Although, of course, on our portal, the main problem is not the time crunch, but the chatting, for which there is always time, but not everyone and not always has time for tournaments... but that topic has been discussed hundreds of times. In general, we need to somehow save the tournaments, make our beloved Heroesworld more "heroic," where tournaments should be given a central place! As Fireball rightly pointed out, we need to give players an incentive! But what will be this incentive?! I cannot give a definitive answer here. Maybe we should think about this together?
