2. The news that saddened me was the death of Gary Gygax, the founder of the entire RPG genre and simply a very intelligent and kind person. Reading interviews with him was a pleasure; he invented all the main RPG series and everything you see now in RPGs – all the levels, damage, and so on.
Gary Gygax: "Beautiful graphics are not the most important thing in games. No matter how beautiful a game is, it will never replace your imagination. A good developer differs from a bad one in that they can make the player imagine."
Gygax was the best at doing this.
May he rest in peace.
