The AI is great! It's not often that you see an AI that can challenge a veteran player. In Heroes of Might and Magic III, I always set the AI to the maximum level, but even then, it wasn't enough. Here, the AI is truly intelligent. Overall, Heroes of Might and Magic V is excellent for single-player. And what's a single-player game without good AI (since you can't play with other people) and a good story? Heroes of Might and Magic V has both!
