I don't like Might and Magic 6 because there's no running mode; it's just too slow.
In the free Haven, you buy the flight spell and fly around the city... around the map at a crazy speed. The main thing is to have at least an Expert Air Mage and a small mana reserve.
And in general, Shift+X = Awesome Running!!!
