In principle, we seem to be able to defeat the strongest turquoise player when we reach the surface. But I think it varies – it’s quite possible that if we load the game again and rush to the garrison, the red player might not be in the castle, but on the other side of the map: we should try both rushing and accumulating resources to gather statistics:)

You still need to take the very first castle. Then, use “summon” to bring in reinforcements from there. By the way, there are a crazy number of dwellings with “high-level creatures” on the map, especially with angels. As a result, I had an increase of +5 angels. But, of course, it takes a long time...
The best thing to do is to dig up the dead enemy hero and let him capture dwellings, mines, and collect resources. Then Friede will have someone to summon from the city.
Otherwise, she won’t go far – the city will be captured, and we won’t have time to rebuild.
