They have catchy solos, and quite a few at that. Further, Exa, you made me laugh... You compared them to Bodom... Ha ha... You might as well have compared them to Tomas from Nightwish. In COB, the keyboards account for 30% of the band because melodic metal and symphonic metal are completely different things. In Catharsis, if you heard them, it would be a bad thing; they simply create a beautiful background. If you want to compare Catharsis to someone, it would be Blind Guardian. By the way, Samostat himself, who do you think is the most technically proficient band? Black Obelisk (and I partially agree with him). Aria and Epidemia... "Elfiyskaya Rukopis" (Elven Manuscript) is magnificent, but I will say that although Epidemia has a significant role in it, many other talented musicians participated in the recording. And "Zhizn' v Sumerkakh" (Life in Twilight) is all the songs that were already on "Feniks" (the first album); they were simply sung by Samostat, which undoubtedly added color. Regarding the breakup of the Aria band, I can't help but notice: who released "Chimera"? (by the way, it's my favorite album). They broke up in 2002. In 1999, they were simply taking a break: Kipelov and the Mavrins rested until the "turbulent times," and Kholstinin, Dubinin, and Manyakin did the acoustic project "Avariya." And then there was another reunion, and as already mentioned, the album "Chimera" followed. By the way, the last concert before Kipelov left, in Luzhniki, was called "Sudny Den'" (Doomsday).
