As far as I know, God is one for everyone... only the perception of His form differs among each nation. By the way, history also provides its roots here. When England felt serious resistance in its colonies, mainly due to the introduction of a foreign religion, measures were taken to create a common concept of God. (Well, in England, they said that the inhabitants of the colonies had adopted Catholicism, while they told others that they could keep their faith... but the point was not religion at all, but wealth).
