You find obelisks, but not necessarily all of them (I've never found all the obelisks). You orient yourself using the landmarks on the revealed map (stones, roads, etc.). You find that location on the "real" map, stand there, and dig at the beginning of your turn. If you're nearby, they'll tell you, "It's somewhere to the north, south, etc." If you're too far away, they'll say, "It's not here." Finally, you dig it up, take it to the town, and they ask you if you can build it or not. You answer "Yes," and the quest is completed. :smile03: I would also say where it is exactly. In my case, it was always in the northeastern part of the map, near the road, but they say it's always in different places, so I won't say for sure.
