Yarls are undoubtedly the best! Rune of Battle Rage + Yarls = 3-4 chains of lightning against most opponents (with repeated turns, you can apply 2 runes simultaneously, for example, Dragon Rune + Rune of Battle Rage). Of course, if you're lucky enough to get these runes! Inga knows most of the runes by level 25 and above.
Yes, Yarls are undoubtedly great; for me, they are a symbol of the dwarves – stout guys with axes. But seriously, they are very good. The Sign of Fire is an excellent thing to help a Priest, and their Wave attack is very strong, especially when combined with Dwarves. The Wave attack hits harder up close than lightning, although it doesn't always work (with Soldier's Luck, it's about 1/3 of the time). Mountain Guards are also strong and dominate the game. At the beginning, they are excellent independent warriors (Ingvar) or excellent meat shields (with Karli, for example), and they don't lose their significance at the end; they protect Spearmen and Priests very well. I don't like Bears; as already mentioned, their main purpose is to run and block ranged attacks, and they scare away the enemy, although they are quite useful at the beginning, and in combination with Arkat's Dragons, they can effectively drive enemies around the lava. If we go into light magic, Secrets of Light will turn Priests into killing machines, although sometimes it is preferable to take Eternal Light (against Necromancers, who can cause us a lot of trouble).
