Heh. Nostalgia hit me hard. I started playing the first Rangers again. The first one is terribly inconvenient compared to the second. -Unadvanced search in the information center – just a search bar; -Refueling only on planets, on bases – forget about it, repairs only; -Lack of afterburners – a terrible drawback; -Only one type of hull in the store – "Ranger," transport, pirate, military, etc. – too bad, dear player, you can only get them from NPCs; -Experience only for delivered protoplasm, which drops from the K'tharr, rarely for a quest; fortunately, pirates can buy fakes; -Overall poor equipment – there are no micromodules in the first game, and the equipment in general is very weak – 400 speed and 14 clicks for the initial engine, for example.
But... at the time, it was still awesome. And in the second game, there are a lot of references to the first – the coolest equipment in the first game is the worst in the second. Still, it's so much fun! Nostalgia, damn it! And for some reason, the arcade mode is more fun in the first game. Ah, it's a pity that I still can't find and defeat Ratchan.
I remember taking them from some pirate; the disk was lying at the very end. I thought I had picked up some trash just because I wanted something like Star Trek. When I played it, my jaw dropped. I replayed it about 4 times, let Maxpehu go, killed Ratchan, but I never finished the second Rangers, although I played it about 27 times. I just needed to play as Peleng. I took Galts as a mercenary, got tired of him, and took a human trader, and so on until the end, but I still didn't finish it
