It happened. On the first week in the Stronghold, secondary Necro was taken, Kyrre was given Earth right away. Roads are fast, so Kyrre is running around like crazy. The path to the second secondary is blocked by Lizardmen and Gogs. I attack them on day 121 with Laicus and Tactics, taking the Swamp. The Griffin Conservatory is revealed there. I check it — 2-4 Angels — I'm scared. On day 127, Valeska breaks through the Storm elementals and heads towards the Conservatory shouting "it's mine, don't touch it", already having 1-4 Angels. I place a decoy in Valeska's path so she doesn't reach the Conservatory by day 131. On day 131, I bring the growth, I enter — it's a Double. Kyrre has Mass Slow, but spell power is 1 :(. I lose 2 Grand Elves and a few Centaurs there. Valeska is nearby, so I attack her, hoping for my attacker's first turn and Mass Slow to shoot first at the Archers. But she has +1 speed, she Slows all my units and halves my Grand Elves, while permanently cementing her Archers. I already realized right then that I had no chance in this battle — I was just hoping Pavel would make a mistake. Once again, I see how much the first turn matters.
