Took one restart at 113; it wasn't great, plus the opponent's Gurnisson came in second - so to hell with him. We started - Grindan arrives, I see a "can" (guarded spot), but there is basically nowhere to go; on day 2 there are three roads: ГО(lots of angels), lots of gr.medusas and dragonflies. Well, nothing to be done - didn't take a restart on the first day, now it's too late - I crush the dragonflies, luckily the third elemental arrived, goodbye butterflies and water elementals. On the second day Grindan took the swamp secondary; there is no money at all - I break a crypt with another elemental for 5 vamps, 50 caps remain, pretty bleak. Instead of leveling up, Green wanders the swamp with a gnoll - looking for money, Aine's army is at home doing the same. End of the week: nagas at home, secondary 1000, boots are lying in the swamp behind an army of cerberi. From the second week Grindan started leveling up, immediately hits a medusa nest (speed pendant from the start is a must!). On the third day Aine takes the Barbarian secondary, Green breaks another medusa nest. At 124 a chain to the swamp is built, "papa" gets crushed, buys back there and speeds up on a fly (and refills mana at the same time). Instead of the planned trip for boots immediately, I have to stop by a hut for logistics. At 126 the boots are taken (thanks to flies and earth expert). At 127 "papa" put them on, gathered all the freebies around (so scouts wouldn't waste moves, they still have to drag the army back through the swamp) and got crushed again in a swampy spot (refills mana and has dragonflies, boots, and logistics in hand). At 131 Green goes for the first "can", planning to break through a passage underground on the way. After breaking demons and fire elementals in the metro, I see a hundred dendroids (shield +3 attack\defense holds), I basically couldn't pass up such a chunk of experience (almost 6k), nearby is a Hive (turned out to be 8 wyverns, dragonflies in hand and slow - easy, even for a mage) and Dragon Utopia. It makes no sense for me to go there, but we kill the guards and here I see an unguarded portal... Quickly backed up a bit, there's a chain from home. At 133 bought what I could and gave it to "papa", who dives into the portal and scouts the blue secondary (native). My stats are decent, Green was given attack - so let's go pay a visit, especially since blue's "mom" still has 1 knowledge. At 134 reached the road between the secondary and Gretchin's home; dilemma - where to go immediately? In the secondary I see a behemoth and a hero, but on their turn the hero runs away from there. Gathered more money (for buy-back) and carefully stomp toward the capital; here on the way I see a magic spring (in the rush forgot to put on boots +1 knowledge\strength, but 200 mana is also fine) - ha, straight to the capital! At 136 arrived and attacked:
Grindan 6-6-6-10(hellish papa:rolleyes:), expert wisdom, earth, fire, logistics, advanced attack. Army: 170 caps, 3 giants, 8 wyverns, 8 nagas, 9 djinns, 3 dragonflies, ballista, cart.
Gretchin lvl 8 11-6-2-1, expert attack and pathfinding, wisdom and earth. Army: 15 thunderbirds, 6 behemoths, 28 orcs, 33 werewolves, 4 wyverns.
A small mishap occurred, but I think it's worth mentioning - in case someone doesn't know. When I attacked the first time, djinns cast magic protection and something else on the gremlins (doesn't matter), but a disconnect happened. After loading, djinns cast air shield on the gremlins!!! Let me explain the trick: there is such a bug in Heroes (or it was done on purpose - who knows), a unit with air shield takes double damage from Castle towers; that is, damage from shooters is halved, but from towers it's doubled! In short, in 2 rounds the caps were gone :D Well, they weren't the main bet anyway, the goblin "mom" army was slowed (gates blocked) and shot down by the arrow. Thanks for the game.
