I've been a long-time fan of CS, so I take all the surprises in our championship in stride. I can say specifically about my team that the only year when the predictions of CS fans didn't come true at the beginning of the season was in 2003. Otherwise, if you look at the team forums, those who lost usually complain about the condition of the fields, the weather, and the referees. Those who were favored claim from the very first match that they're almost guaranteed a top spot. Also, we shouldn't forget about football luck, and I don't think there's much to be surprised about. Just wait, everything will fall into place after 3-5 rounds.
