My resource and neighboring resource nodes were tiny, barely providing enough income for proper development. But I'm learning not to take restarts and to make the most of what I have :D And there was something to work with: on secondary nodes, I found elf and pegasus nests, and two archer nests. I built all of this and in the cities. Unable to build, let alone buy, cavalry, I invested in archers and pegasi. The distance between the castles, even through secondary nodes, was several days' travel, so I bought a shooting army and went on the offensive. During the castle siege, I made a regrettable mistake - I forgot to reinforce the gates. I dealt with the efreets, but the knutars, under mass haste, came out and effectively ended this era.
