What is the purpose of this research?
Well, I think it will at least deter others from openly cheating - and maybe they will even have to learn to cheat "smartly" - but for that, they need to be able to play Heroes. :)
Play online only with those you trust, and you will be happy :)
3. Personal motives.
Regarding the impossibility of proving, or about "repentance" - these are not necessary things, as no one will face administrative, let alone criminal, punishment... it's only about reputation - which practically doesn't require proof - and 99% facts will suffice.
