I confirm. On the first map, just cavalry — no frills like Citadels or various Castles, 4 heroes. The respawn was poor (there was only a tier 3 Griffin Conservatory), I reacted to this too late, and as a result — money troubles at the start of the second. Seeing the blue flag at the end of the first week, I decided to commit quickly and ambush him in the adjacent zone. With a scout hero, I stole the adjacent zone of Castle, breaking through with the same hero. I brought in troops, selling everything down to zero — and there were still unrecruited troops left. By the final battle, I split the pikemen so poorly due to my own stupidity and inexperience in battles, and recklessly charged cavalry with wait forward into the enemy — for those same weighty reasons. :)

Many thanks to my opponent for the detailed and friendly analysis of my in-game strategy and battle tactics. Such a debriefing is now no less valuable to me than the game itself — and defeats and ranking position right now, in the process of learning, hold no independent significance (for me, again).
