Anyone who says that their jokes are one-dimensional clearly hasn't watched them much.
They have many good jokes, without vulgarity, etc.
There are also some that aren't funny (similar to jokes from other "entertainment programs"), although maybe someone will find them funny...
There are also some that are too intellectual, not everyone will understand them... sometimes I don't understand them either.

P.S. That quote you mentioned is from a long poem, and it's quite funny and has good rhymes... IMHO... it's not about belittling great people, it's just a joke, and jokes shouldn't be taken seriously...
