Reports on online games and their confirmations (Spring 2008 season).

Mizrael (red, Castle, Caitlin, Brissa) defeated Loi (Castle, Valeska, Kyrre) 2sm4d(3) 134 We played without using the "scouting" mechanic, so I suggested playing with identical Castles – Loi agreed. The map is decent, but there weren't any skilled warrior creatures, so I started developing Brissa. By the end of the week, she was level 5, with expert air magic, and I had stables and a Stronghold. I cleared out a hidden stash of monks and griffins. I lost a good number of archers, but the outer stable allowed my main hero to break through to the secondary resource without problems, going through a horde of ogres on the second week. I created 8 heroes; they cleared out everything that could bring in money – angels and a Castle by the end of the second week. Brissa reached level 10: wisdom, air, earth, and scouting. I bought 131 and gave it to Brissa – she flew off to search for a treasure. The scouting skill proved useful... she spotted the top of a watchtower behind a group of monks, and the earth magic revealed a blue secondary resource, and it was a native one. I cleared a path to the treasure, sent Catherine in there – a wagonload of chests and gold allowed me to upgrade the monks and buy everything from the dwelling, except for swords. The 133 scout reached the watchtower and revealed the secondary resource; my main hero with the entire army is marching there. The scout was immediately killed, the chain was broken, but there was no longer enough money for swords. 134 – I take the secondary resource, upgrade my creatures there, and sit in defense. Kyrre gathers his forces and attacks: Brissa 4-2-9-10, 0 mana. 3 angels, 5 champions, 19 zealots, 29 archers, 83 griffin creatures. Stronghold. Kyrre 5-8-2-4, 18 mana. 1 angel, 5 champions, 17 swordsmen, 39+39 archers, 22 griffin creatures, 110 creatures. It's always easier to defend, even if the hero is a mage without mana, and 3 angels are a powerful force – the victory went to Brissa. The leadership gained at the last level helped – the zealots broke through several times. Thank you for the game.
