DISCUSSIONS on “Rules for online games in HoMM3 and formulas for calculating player rating.”
The idea of bonus points is good. A lot depends on the ability to conduct battles, and analyzing saves in this way can significantly improve the gameplay for anyone who wants to. You could even create a separate thread for this to discuss individual battles.
2 An idea that comes to mind – in interesting key games, try to implement such a "feature" – we make an online reporter the third player, for example, we simply lock him on the map and no one touches him (don't shoot the reporter, he's writing – as best he can), and he comments on the progress of the game, and as the opponent progresses, players, if possible, share their impressions. I tried a prototype of this in the Mizrael-Dubrovin game. By integrating all this with player reports after the game, IMHO, you can get an interesting and informative piece of content.
I already practiced something similar in a seasonal tournament in the vbn-uran game. It turned out to be very funny, especially since I also wrote a report from a third-person perspective. With this method, a third party can even act as a second in serious matches (for example, in the final). It is difficult to implement this on random maps. On fixed maps, this is done by placing an isolated castle-tower with a Grail on the map, which allows you to reveal the entire map and see all the movements of both players. All that remains is to grab a beer, popcorn, and settle in comfortably :). It's a pity that the battles cannot be seen.
