Elixir is a good artifact, but it's not easy to assemble — at least for me, it happens very, very rarely. I assemble the Cloak of the Undead King more often :-).
The Elixir has only three components, all simple, but together they just don't seem to appear :-( Usually the most problematic artifact is the Vial of Lifeblood.
