I don't like overpowered heroes like Lethos. Because when you play with such a hero, you realize that all these quick victories over neutral creatures are only due to the hero with a specific ability, and not the troops or specialized magic. The overall impression of the race is spoiled – because what would happen if the hero wasn't Lethos? That's why I prefer to play a "classic" Warlock with Chaos magic.
I don't know, I don't see anything overpowered in him either, and his ability is, in principle, a rather dubious thing, and I don't like taking Dark magic either (although I was convinced that it suits him in principle))). Maybe you just need to level him up, maybe if you play poorly, you should choose him, but as Mdance said, even Waishan with his archers is very strong, maybe you won't defeat neutral creatures as quickly as with Lethos, but if you put in a little effort, the effect will be the same. Although this is my subjective opinion, I just don't play as Lethos, maybe it's not that he's weak, but that I play poorly with him, but it's much more interesting to play as Waishan.
