Chaos magic. Is it necessary?

In my opinion, now that the new expansion with the new Druids has been released, Light is only crucial for Elves against races with dark magic (Necropolis - especially, Demons, Humans if they level up), because Darkness is overpowered for Elves and needs to be somehow neutralized, but it's not that important when playing against other races. Personally, I currently enjoy playing with Chaos more, especially against Orcs...
