Lou, in my humble opinion, the word "conflict" is too strong. Qwerty simply expressed his position, explaining why he finds out about the community's desire for him, as the official organizer of the Heroes II tournament, almost last. And I agree with him on this. However, he expressed himself a bit strangely, strangely for him (since he is a perfectly reasonable person), and this led to a misunderstanding.
Qwerty, I'll say this: most people are hoping for you to be the organizer of the "John Van Caneghem Tournament for Heroes II," so what do you say? :)
I'll take on the organization of the 3rd part specifically, but I'll also discuss the details with one person - SandroXXL, because his desire to prevent the tournament from "fading away" is commendable, and it's much easier to come up with ideas together ;)
The role of the LZMС committee is significant in a slightly different direction than organizing the Heroes II tournament. The forum users have long formed a clear opinion about "what a tournament is," so let it be that way. It's not a big deal :)
Now, regarding the deadlines...
In short, it's not worth focusing so much on this, since each organizer of the Heroes II tournament will run the tournament as they see fit. I just outlined approximate deadlines that only suit me. If this also suits someone else, that's great! - I will only be happy.
In general, the idea is simple - it's not worth setting any restrictions on the deadlines for this event, but it's also not worth forgetting about it ;)
