I finished the campaign and forgot about it. You can play casually for as long as you want. The game isn't that problematic through Uplay. Yes, it sometimes crashes, but I think that's still within acceptable limits. No one guaranteed a flawless experience through Hamachi – it's just emulating a local network over the internet, so anything can happen.
