Hello, dear HeroesWorld users. I would like to clarify the situation that has been happening with HW in recent days. The main problem that has emerged recently and is hindering the normal operation of the forum is the excessive load on the database, which is mainly used by the forum. Moreover, the exact causes of this load have not yet been identified, but it is increasing rapidly and is very catastrophic. Since the beginning of February, I have been monitoring the database load, and it has been found that it can function quite well under varying loads, and everything was fine until the 12th, when, for unknown reasons, the load increased sevenfold, which made it impossible for the forum to function normally. The load continued until the 16th, after which there was a day of stable operation. On the 18th, something completely unusual happened, and this time our server failed physically on the hosting provider, and even the domain was not accessible. Moreover, the problem with the domain on that day was not only on HeroesWorld; many domains were inaccessible, and even nival.ru was inaccessible for half a day. Currently, the server has been restored after the failures, and further monitoring and searching for the causes that may be overloading our database are underway. After that, the software will be optimized. Most likely, after these measures, the Heroic Chat will be enabled with its preserved functionality, but with a new software core.
