Which level 1 monster do you like the most in Heroes of Might and Magic V?

The Gremlins are very well-designed. But the most useful of the initial units are definitely the Scouts. IMO, they are versatile fighters. They perform well in both melee combat and at range. And later on, they even gain the ability to inflict poison. Of course, I agree with the opinion about the Fairies. They are also very strong.
