Even so, the LE ability doesn't provide as much benefit as it seems at first glance, because luck already occurs in about half of the attacks without any special ability. This is even stated in the manual.

Half isn't all attacks, including counterattacks. It's very damaging for the opponent to take that much damage from the first attacks, and it's also unpleasant to attack Sylvan creatures, because you know that a lucky attack will result in a counterattack. Trust me, Vayshan - True Luck is simply absurd. And the TE special ability doesn't provide benefits as often.
