I agree with your tactics; the numbers speak for themselves. However, the question is: will the Town Guard rush into a hit-and-run attack knowing that they could lose their units even before their turn? After all, the Daughters of Heaven can be split into two stacks, and Lightning will affect all stacks... And losing a hero is half the battle lost...
O God of Earth and Altar,
Bow down and hear our cry,
Our earthly rulers falter,
Our people drift and die,
The walls of gold entomb us,
The swords of scorn divide,
Take not thy thunder from us,
Take away our pride.
G.K. Chesterton: English Hymnal
