Yes, on large maps, Haven dominates; I think it's designed for that. As mentioned, Dark Magic should be feared by all large armies, but unlike others, Haven is the least affected because the hero can cast Cleanse, and the monks can do it too. In my opinion, this is the only race whose full potential is revealed towards the end of the game, although, Necropolis is also a contender. I don't understand why Haven is considered weak; for me, humans with their 4 heroes are the strongest race...
