ICQ accounts are stolen in the following ways: * Either incompletely (users who are new to this are stealing them) * Or thoroughly (so you won't be able to get it back) Here's how it happens... First, the ICQ account is stolen! Then, a password is sent to your email address (this is done by the person who stole the ICQ account)... Then, they simply change the password, and that's it...(this is where the users' efforts end). There's also a feature called "change primary email" (the email address to which the password will be sent in case of loss)... and that's what the thieves do. They also change all the data on the ISQ website (this is for those who are smarter)...

The password should consist of Latin letters and numbers so that no scumbag can access it. There should be at least 6 letters and also numbers, then no maniac will hack your ICQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even with such a password, it can still be hacked =)... well, let there be a few more 100,000,000 combinations... but if someone really needs your ICQ, they will hack it ;)... P.S. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get my old ICQ account back yet....((( They did everything skillfully... and the main thing is - they don't appear on ICQ!).... I really don't understand - why steal ICQ accounts? Well, I understand that a cool number, like a 6-digit one, is desirable - for example, 111-111... yes, it's cool - you can steal such a number (although there is probably protection for such numbers most of the time)... but why steal a 9-digit, uninteresting number? IT'S NOT CLEAR!!!! In general, only open various links from trusted people, and ask what it is (if the link was sent when you were offline).... this will help you save your nerves, your hard drive, and your ICQ account ;).. often, viruses also do tricks with ICQ accounts ;)
